**"Something’s Not Right…”**  

One of our members—let’s call him Bob—asked me to review his affiliate marketing campaign.  

He’d invested heavily in solo ads, generating plenty of *sign-ups*… but **zero** conversions.

   - Solid click rates… but something was *off*.  

3. **The Strange Click Pattern**  
   - Traffic spiked *immediately* after the ad went live… then **dropped to zero** within an hour.  
   - Red flag: Real leads trickle in over *days*—they don’t all open an email at the exact same time.  

4. **The Fake Leads**  
   - Nearly identical naming patterns (e.g., "J. SMITH," "John@johnsmith.com").  
   - **Zero** post-sign-up activity—no logins, no engagement, nothing.  
   - Real people interact. Bots don’t.  

 **The Harsh Truth**  
Bob’s "leads" weren’t real. They were either:  
- **Bot-generated** (auto-filling forms)  
- **Spoofed data** (randomized fake emails)  
- **Delivered by a shady vendor** to *simulate* results  

Worst part?

The solo ad source he used is one we’ve **proven** to be a scam.  

 **The Lesson**  
Not all traffic is equal. If your conversions are *mysteriously* low, **audit your leads**. Fake sign-ups don’t buy—they just drain your budget.
